Friday 4 Tihema
this week we have been doing our soar ovens we used what we have been learning in our topic about reflection , insulation and color to see which groups solar oven will melt cheese on bread first .
I have enjoyed making our solar oven and testing it out because I love doing experiments for topic.
Something challenging for me this week was making and writing about our solar ovens because our group didn't really work together but we tried our best and I am really pleased with our oven.
I took a risk by writing emotion poems because I have never writ about them before but I really like my piece of writing.

This week we have buried our time capsule . Inside was photos little collectible toys and personal profiles.
What i learnt this week was using translation like slide .Also i learnt how to work out remainders .
We have also been practicing for our 125th school reunion .
What i enjoyed was doing and working out remainders because i now know how to do them.
what i found challenging was trying to finish our topic work in our group on the students.

What I learnt was how to coordinate and use scaling with maps and grids .
What I found challenging was using coordinates and scaling in maps because I didn't know what they meant or how I was suppose to do it but in the end I was really easy for me .also I thought my clay art was hard.
What I enjoyed was learning how to use coordinates and scaling in amps . I also enjoyed Mrs Matheson and Mr Cole coming in and talking to us about what it was like for them at school.

I enjoyed going to Motat because we got to use real quills and slate pens and boards in the school house also there was a lazer maze, science dome and lot,s more other things .
What I found challenging was using the quills and slate boards, pens because we had to write in cursive letters and words .
What I found interesting was Mr Boyd and Mr Coles story's about what school was like in their time line like they had to do homework otherwise the had dubble the next week .

What I enjoyed this week was doing our topic work witch is about what school was like 125 years ago.And I enjoyed making tessellation art .
What I found challenging was trying to finish my art with Mrs Taylor.And doing new jump rope techniques .
I learnt how to combine three sentences into one .

This week i have learnt how to read labels and nutrition information with Andy, the healthy eating lady. Something i found changeling was figuring out how to read labels and nutrition information . by the end of the season i know how to read those something i have achieved this week was learning edges faces and vertices with 3D shapes. I found out how to find how much sugar salt calcium e.g are in food and drinks

something i enjoyed was trees for survival because i liked planting trees and getting dirty .
I learnt some names of 3d shapes and 2d
something challenging was trees for survival because you had to do the exact thing that they said how to plant.
this is my writing called The getaway squirrel .Hope you like it.
In the woods it is autumn. Yellow , red and golden leaves start to float down from the oak ,pine ,and nut trees while a little ,brown squirrel is making the dead, red and, brown leaves rustle and crunch underneath his little feet as he is searching for nuts to collect and eat.
In a bare tree, a eagle stares at the little mammal closely, and carefully , is moving towards the rodent slowly and cautiously . All of a sudden,” Whoosh.” The predator launches himself and glides quickly towards the small animal .
Now the gentle creature is running and climbing to get away from this monster. In the tree tops the little tree climber springs to the branch his dray is on. And quickly dashes inside “Phew” . As the eagle attacks the dray by diving into it , the survivor goes through the bottom and lands on a pile of dead orange and brown leaves .
As the feathered animal figures out where it has gone the escape artist runs faster than he has ever ran before, then the beast is back chasing him but the runner climbs a hollow tree and slowly squeezes himself inside the hole. “O my” that was close . Then the bird tries to attack the tree and stares through the deserted hole inside the dead tree.but it is hopeless .sorry buddy No squirrel for tonight's dinner.
this is my speech i did i think that i needed a bit more eye contact and more persuading in it
30.7.15 This week i have achieved moving up in basic facts to level 6
I enjoyed doing a novel study for reading my book is called chicken feathers I like it because i like reading chapter and novel books.
I learnt my 3 7 and 6 times tables because i didnt know how before .
I found the sky tower run challenging because i have to push myself to achieve it .

Some hard i found this week was learning time because i didn't know to before.

I was pleased with doing and learning new maths called area in maths strand with Mrs T because I didn't know how to do it before .
I achieved making my letter to my parents it just needs a few more edits to do.

this week i have learnt new strateges in my maths in Mr deans maths class for gross grouping.
also we have been doing speeches i was really nervase .
we have also been doing bridges made out of popsical sticks.

This week i have also been doing speeches and doing mine for homework .

This week i am enjoying writing and i am learning new maths skills , i am also trying to get 7000 points on mathletics. This week i also have been enjoying swimming and practicing for swimming sports and doing the writing samples. This week i have enjoyed going to music and learning about the marui and how they lived.

Something that I am looking foreword to is going into my cabin and seeing who is in my cabin.
Something that will be challenging for me is finishing all of the activities without quitting or getting scared from it.
My 2 goals are
getting along with my cabin buddies without fighting.
finishing the camp got talent and trying to win it.
