I am pleased with my writing about the squirrel and the eagle..... if you would like to read it look below.

Attack of the eagle

The twigs crunch underfoot as I stroll through the woods in Canada. Dry leaves flutter to the ground leaving a red gold and yellow sea blanketing the dirt. I hear a faint rustle of leaves and the furry head of a squirrel pops out of the ground it's black little nose twitching trying to detect food he turns and scurries up a big oak tree his little claws latch onto an uneven branch as he collects a nut. Little did the rodent know that looming ahead was a ferocious eagle.

The feathered hunter is scanning the treetops when it’s head jerks noticing movement his eyesight zooms in and the predator recognises the squirrel as dinner. With eyes gleaming murderously, he sets off through the woods his wings unfold and stretch out and with two beats of his majestic feathers, he is lifted off the ground and soaring through the air ready to catch his prey. Meanwhile, the small rodent is storing several nuts for winter when he sees a faint silhouette of a sharp taloned bird. The little squirrel dashes across a branch…. the determined eagle is gaining. He leaps to the branch on another tree, there is a gap between them this does not slow the terrified furry creature.. he glides through the air wind rushing at his tiny face. The eagle makes a dive for him narrowly missing. he killer eventually gives up and flies away
